Matt Wolf was recently named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine. His critically acclaimed and award-winning feature documentary Wild Combination, about the avant-garde cellist and disco producer Arthur Russell, premiered at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival. It played in over 50 international film festivals, museums, and cinemas (Edinburgh, IFC Center, MoMA, ICA London) and was included on numerous “Top 10″ lists, including Artforum and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. The film was released theatrically in the US and UK, distributed worldwide by Plexifilm, and was broadcast on the Sundance Channel. Matt has produced and directed short documentaries for The New York Times Magazine, including a webby-nominated series on Art Basel Miami Beach. He recently completed “High Line Stories,” a documentary series about the innovative park for the Sundance Channel. Matt is a graduate of New York University’s Film School, where he received the prestigious W.T.C. Johnson Fellowship.
